Mother Betty Jean Green is a woman of prayer and faith. At a young age her mother, Evangelist Pairfine Hall taught her the value of praying and believing that all things are possible in Christ. Mother Green was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 11 during a Friday night prayer meeting at House of Prayer for All Nations. In the formative years of spiritual development, she would go to Burnside Street were the homeless and the less fortunate lived, it is there where Mother Green learned about the Biblical concept of church missions.

 Mother Green has worked in many areas of the church. In local she was president and coordinator of the Mothers’ Board, Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, as well as preparing meals for many years.  In 1980 she became Elect Lady of the Jurisdictional Mission Department and worked with the Regional Mission Department. Mother Green was appointed Assistant Supervisor to Mother Elizabeth Jackson in 1996, serving as a member of the Executive Board, Chairperson of the Examination Committee, Jurisdictional Marshal, and Expeditor for the Women’s Department. Mother also served as the District Missionary of the Love District. God released Mother Green from holding a full time job as a Manufacturing Technician at Intel. She stands firmly on the belief that “If you put God on the spot, He will show up!”

For the past twenty years Mother Green and Supt. Green have attended the International Holy Convocation  held in Memphis, TN & St. Louis, MO. During the 2001 Holy Convocation she was appointed Jurisdictional Assistant Supervisor by Mother Willie Mae Rivers, General Supervisor of Women of the Church of God in Christ. In 2004 Mother Rivers appointed her Jurisdictional Supervisor under the leadership of Bishop H.B. Daniels, Jr. of Oregon Northwest Jurisdiction COGIC. Mother Green has conducted seminars, workshops, retreats, conferences and conventions throughout Oregon and Washington. She also received a Certificate of Attendance for A Call To Men Training Institute on Engaging Men and Boys in Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention in Portland, Oregon 2011.

Mother Green believes that “Faith without works is dead.” She stands on the promise in Psalms 37:4 “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Mother Green believes in God and His anointing.

Mother Green is the loving and supporting wife of 47 years to Superintendent Paul L. Green, Sr., pastor of Love Temple COGIC.  The Lord blessed them with five sons after the doctor said she would never have children, David Everett Sr., Paul Lawrence Jr., Markus Earl Sr., Eric Darnell Sr., and Christopher Morris Sr. With these blessings came 5 daughters-in-law and 15 grandchildren.
